What does time make possible here that a still image could not hold?

Begin with the image, then return to the label, material, scale, duration, and collection context. The work becomes clearer as these clues begin to connect.

Look With This Work

Movement reduced to points

Foxtrot dancers are abstracted into white dots, filmed from different angles, and arranged into a sequence. The viewer sees movement appear, vanish, and loop through minimal visual information. The work questions how little we need in order to recognize motion.

Full moving-image access is rights-controlled and available only through request, review, and approved screening conditions. Copyright in each work remains with the artist. Recording, downloading, screenshotting, redistribution, or reuse outside LFC is not permitted.
