Lu Yang creates a genderless digital avatar based on the artist's own image. The work draws from neuroscience, stereotactic medical devices, religious imagery, and electronic dance music. The avatar dances, transforms, is destroyed, and seems to enter an imagined afterlife. Through this digital body, consciousness is staged as something that can travel beyond fixed identity, gender, flesh, and death.
