What does time make possible here that a still image could not hold?
Begin with the image, then return to the label, material, scale, duration, and collection context. The work becomes clearer as these clues begin to connect.
Look With This WorkMemory as a sequence of flashes
Shi Jinsong uses the visual language of slides, diagrams, and time markings to think about life as a series of remembered fragments. The title's timecode suggests a moment that flashes, stops, and becomes record. The work compresses memory into images that feel both schematic and intimate.
