Look With This WorkLife seen through industrial efficiency
The chicken is often understood through efficiency: a creature transformed quickly into food. Xiao Wenjun slows that logic down. By treating the act of killing a chicken as a ritual, the work asks viewers to feel the disappearance of life that industrial production usually hides. The ordinary meal becomes connected to debt, care, and violence.
