Xing Danwen places the body at the center of the work. Red wounds, the twisting back, and the sense of an unseen aggressor make feeling visible through physical movement. The body seems to want stillness, but pain makes it move. The work holds this contradiction between sensation, control, and the impossibility of fully naming what is felt.
